Our local Hy-Vee has Bingo every Tuesday afternoon and I have been meaning to take the boys all summer.

A kind soul shared her markers with us, you are supposed to bring your own. I think they forgave us since we skewed the average age by quite a bit.

One nice lady even gave us her apricot tart prize, we were not quite so lucky, but we did get a blackout on the final round to take home a bag of rolls!  BINGO!

Kazoo, the blind barn owl is missing part of a wing and cannot fly.  Joseph's current project (involving straws, tape and paper) is creating a prosthetic wing for him.

A day at the zoo, with a train ride, for our happy kid Leo!

We learned all about the bobcat from the zookeeper and watched him do tricks.  You share your brother's love of nature and National Geographic's Deadly Dozen has become popular choice for TV time.

 

You love things that might be considered gross or scary by others.  You delight in your cockroach in a box toy.  You giggle every time you open the lid and demand-Scream now!- if you do not get a proper reaction from your "victim"!

You have quite the fashion sense.  Spiderman and Superman vie for honors in your wardrobe.  Your red rain boots match both very well.  Spiderman won out for the cake, and you even let me, rather than Hy-Vee, make it :) chocolate of course!

We celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese, your destination of choice ever since cousin Sam's party.  You love black olive pizza or bug pizza as Dad refers to it :)

Joseph and Sam were your guests.  You are often the tag along with the "big kids" and keep up pretty well.  Hopefully you will do well with Joseph at school!

I am excited to see you continue to develop your own unique personality.  Although you and Joseph look so much alike, you definitely tend toward the phlegmatic and are quite mellow in comparison.  You sing often and have an easy smile.

Even though you are pretty tough you still have a soft spot for your blankie and are an excellent cuddler.  You like to hold hands and will tell people you love them out of the blue.  Your puckered up kisses are the best!  Happy Birthday Leo!
