celebrate
Hooray! Welcome to the family Karla :) Since Jude was the best man, I was chasing both boys, and have few photos that they did not "help" take. Fortunately, the professionals did a great job and you can see their entire album at Blue Rue Studio.
Here is one candid that I got of Joseph bellied up to the bar, he had been clearing glasses throughout the evening. Here he is chatting it up with the bartenders and ordering himself an orange juice!

open air school
One of our fun finds at Sheldon was the special exhibit, Agents of Change: Mexican Muralists and New Deal Artists. I was excited to see the work of Diego Rivera, a famous Mexican muralist who was born in Guanajuato, where I studied in Mexico. Here is his 1932 lithograph, Open Air School.
día de los muertos
Once again, Sheldon Art Gallery had a exhibit celebrating the Day of the Dead.
La ofrenda in honor of the deceased.
Skeletons are a main theme of the festivities.
A Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

first haircut
Leo no longer looks like a baby orangutan, according to Jude, who gets "nervous" if his hair gets too long, and projects this bizarre sentiment on his boys. Here they are with my friend Lindsay who did a great job on a squirmy kid!
At home I use the highly recommended Just a Trim, because I have no competency with scissors and no trust with a razor!
